Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev


Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar passed to the Presidency after meeting with Uzbekistan Defense Minister Bahadır Kurbanov and Uzbekistan Security Council General Secretary Viktor Mahmudov in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, where she came during her official visits.

Minister Akar was received by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Bahadir Kurbanov of Uzbekistan Defense Minister during a meeting also attended by Turkey's Ambassador to Tashkent Mehmet Sureyya were also present.

Minister Akar started his speech by expressing his pleasure to be in these lands, which he described as an ancestral home, in his statement to Uzbek journalists after the meeting.

Stating that they made an important and meaningful visit to Uzbekistan, Minister Akar said, "We had very positive meetings."

Stating that they discussed the defense industry issues as well as military training and cooperation in the productive meetings, Minister Akar said:

"Within the scope of our program, we were finally received by the esteemed President Mirziyoyev. We had the opportunity to provide them with information about the work we have done. We had very promising meetings with serious commitments for the next period. The instructions given to us by our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan are in this direction, especially since 2016, within the framework of the agreement reached by the Presidents of our countries, the working areas for us ministers are extremely wide. We also aim to accomplish the tasks assigned within this framework with the best of ourselves. We will show our best efforts to meet the needs by working, jointly. I believe that we will succeed as a result of these efforts. "

Stating that there is a strategic partnership between the two countries based on strong brotherly ties, Minister Akar stated that they are working to further develop relations as two states and nations that love each other.

Mentioning the importance of cooperation in the fight against FETO, which is a threat to every country it is in, Minister Akar also wished that the Military Financial Cooperation Agreement and Cash Aid Implementation Protocol signed with Uzbekistan Defense Minister Kurbanov would be beneficial to the armed forces of the two countries.
