Turkish Finance Minister meets with officials of major U.S. companies

      Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Noureddine Nebati met Wednesday with senior representatives of leading U.S. companies at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce round table, on the sidelines of a meeting of finance ministers, central bank governors of the Group of 20 and "spring meetings" of international organizations, in the United States

 

     On Wednesday morning, Nabati shared a tweet on his Twitter account, explaining that he had provided information about Turkey's economic prospects and investment potential in detail.

     In a separate tweet, he referred to his attendance at the G20 Emerging Market Economies Meeting, stressing the importance of joint efforts and global cooperation against the difficult points of the meeting in terms of the economic effects of geopolitical shocks, rising commodity, food and energy prices, as well as global financial conditions.

    He explained their renewal of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's proposal to form a working group within the G20 to provide a systematic perspective on migration and forced displacement.

    In two other tweets, the minister added that he had also met with senior executives of companies operating in the health services, infrastructure, banking and finance sectors.

    He also indicated that the meeting took place at a meeting organized by the Business Council for International Understanding, one of the leading NGOs in the world of business and economics in the United States.

   They exchanged views on current and planned investments and activities for companies in Turkey, he said.

     During this visit, Nebati will hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts, heads of international organizations, senior executives of multinational companies, civil society institutions and thought.
