Tunisia Africa news agency reported yesterday that electronic procedure of insurance card will become effective 1 April as an electronic operation of Orange Card System launched by the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF).
During transition period which will be in June 30, 2022, both formats the traditional and the electronic will be used.
Orange Card System is managed in Tunisia by the unified automotive office which brings together all motor insurance companies which finalised all technical and organisational preparations to implement the electronic system on the date set.
Algerian, Libyan and Tunisian citizens traveling to those neighbour countries will be able to use their smartphones to show their insurance certificates.
